Welcome
to Hunt-N-Bag.com
It's
never too early to prepare for your next hunting trip.
You
spend your hard earned money for your deer hunting enjoyment.
You have practiced with your equipment for hours. You know
that being prepared for that opportunity at your trophy deer
is what you waited for. But after you have harvested your
deer the hunt is not over. You need to transport it home and
how you do this can mean the difference of between bringing
home a safe clean meal or one tainted by hazards from the
road surface.
What
Hazards?
You
may ask, "What hazards?" Just look
at the surface of the road you will see the oil spots, but
what you don't see is worse. Research has shown many
Bio and chemical hazards reside on the road surface (E-coil,
Anti-freeze residue, fecal matter, salmonella, and chemicals
from road salt).
Sure
you say my deer will not touch the road surface. True but
yours and the tires of other vehicles do. You have seen the
mist that they create on wet surfaces. That mist contains
the chemicals mentioned above. If the animal isn't covered
they are deposited on the animal. Even on a dry surface tires
kick up dirt and sand that are coated with those hazards,
they can be transferred from the fur to the meat as it is
processed.
Don't
take chances with your family's health or yours. If you donate
your meat, you also put others at risk.
